More than just a pretty face....Dhekho is born.

"Dhekho" which literally means "To see or to look for" in bengali/hindi was the perfect name for the brand. And so, here it is Dhekho.....an elegant unique brand which has a social regeneration focus like no other.

The tagline for Dhekho is ...."Give the gift of sight". However, there is more to Dhekho than just perfecting vision for those who are unable to afford it. SightXchange is about utilising skills which are not being used. Once you give back sight to someone that person now regains their personal independence. They could now potentially become a resource. SightXchange will in effect provide that person with skills and training which has potential to lead to employment.

SightXchange is an innovative socio - economic model which seeks to eradicate a public health issue and turn it into a social regeneration pathway. This is the unique element to Dhekho it is a brand which represents a vision for social regeneration.

The visuals for Dhekho were spot on and I was thoroughly impressed with the outcome for the branding. From the visuals you can see an extention to the letter K - this represents an eye which fits nicely with the project (see www.dhekho.com). The branding team are currently finalising the brand profile.

I have just added Dhekho as a facebook fanpage - so go and "like" it now.

Next week sees the deadline for the Dhekho design competition and I have already started receiving designs - which is a good sign. This is a great opportunity for a young designer to work on such a fantastic project.

I shall keep you posted with the shortlistings of the potential designs.
